Day-by-Day Plan
Beidaihe. Geziwo sunrise (¥20), Tiger Rock (¥8), the wetland boardwalk, and a seafood night at Shitanglu market.
Shanhaiguan passes. First Pass Under Heaven (¥50/¥60) in the morning and Old Dragon Head (¥60) where the Wall meets the sea; huo-guo hotpot in the old town at night.
Changli coast. Bus or taxi south to the Gold Coast (sand-slide park ¥80, 08:00–16:30, +86 335 2081 340) and Emerald Isle (¥75, +86 335 2215 521) — slide the dunes, watch the gulls, and camp for the sunrise or sleep at a local inn.
Grape Valley & home. The 400-year-old Grape Valley (¥20, 08:00–18:00 May–Oct, +86 335 2079 001) — lunch under the 10-li grape trellis — and the Huaxia estate's wine cellars (¥30, +86 335 2031 799), Asia's largest oak-barrel cellar. Train or coach home in the evening.

South to Changli
Coaches and taxis cover the Beidaihe–Shanhaiguan–Changli corridor; the Gold Coast and Emerald Isle sit about 1.5 h south of the city. Agree fares before boarding.
Camp the dunes
Twin tents from a few dozen yuan on the Emerald Isle; beach parasols and chairs hire everywhere (parasol ¥80–200, tent ¥100–160 by beach). Ask the price before sitting down.
