Yalong Bay & the forest park. Morning: the silver crescent of Yalong Bay — swim, walk the shell museum (¥56) or relax on the free beach. Around noon take bus 15 or 27 up into the hills to the Tropical Paradise Forest Park (¥175 incl. sightseeing car, 08:00–17:30 · +86 898 3823 8888) — cross theGuojianglong cable bridge from If You Are the One II (¥20, free for Bird's Nest guests), ride the car to Red-roofed Ridge for the whole bay below. Evening: dinner of Wenchang chicken and Hainan noodles, then an early night.
Wuzhizhou & Nantian hot spring. Early: bus 28 or taxi to the Houhai pier and the ferry to Wuzhizhou Island (¥168 incl. ferry, ferries every 15 min, last landing 16:00 · +86 898 8875 1258) — shore or boat dive over coral, the Lover's Bridge andSun-viewing Rock. Pack lunch; the island is pricey. Late afternoon: taxi or shuttle to Zhujiang Nantian Hot Spring (¥198, 08:00–23:30 · +86 898 8881 9888) — 60 pools of 56°C water in coconut groves, including the small-fish pool, to finish the trip.

Phoenix airport is 20 km west; airport bus ¥15 to town, bus 8 to Dadonghai (¥5), bus 27 to Yalong Bay (¥10). Haikou East runs the EMU to Sanya every day (¥84–100, 1 h 34 m).
