The inland half of Wuyishan: the cloud sea from Tianyou Peak in the morning, the thousand-year tea bushes of the Dahongpao canyon at midday, and the Water Curtain Cave in the afternoon. Bookable end-to-end by our team.
Tianyou Peak. Start early and climb Tianyou Peak (07:30–17:00) — Wuyishan's premier sight, standing alone above the sixth bend of the stream. The stone stairs are long but the view is unrivalled: the cloud sea over Yunwo, Tea Cave and Yinping Peak, with the stream looping on three sides. Xu Xiake rated this peak first among all of Wuyishan's sights.
Dahongpao canyon & tea tasting. Descend and make your way to the Dahongpao area — the Jiulongke canyon, where the six mother bushes (over a thousand years old) cling to the cliff. Walk the stone path between the tea gardens and stop at a tea house to taste cinnamon, narcissus and dahongpao rock tea. Lunch at a canyon tea-house restaurant.
Water Curtain Cave. Continue north to the Water Curtain Cave (07:30–17:00) — the largest cave in the park, wide enough for a thousand people, with twin springs spilling from the cliff top like hanging pearl curtains and the ruins of old shrines inside. On the way back, if you still have energy, pop into a Thread of Sky or Huxiao Rock.
Hotels, bamboo-raft tickets, rock-tea tastings, the Impression Dahongpao show and guides arranged by our team — free of charge, no obligation.
City buses (¥1–2) and hop-on sightseeing minibuses (under ¥5) link the zones inside the pass; the Dahongpao area usually needs a short taxi. Taxis start at ¥10 — agree the price first.
Scenic pass ¥140 (1 day) or ¥150 (2 days); tea tasting and canyon lunch are optional (~¥50–100). Our team books the pass and transfers free.
Tea eggs and instant noodles on Tianyou (~¥1 each for tea eggs), rock tea and mountain snacks in the canyon, and Langu smoked goose or red-eye fish for dinner in the resort.
