A quieter day away from the crowds: a chartered drive into the Wuyishan natural reserve for the Qinglong Grand Waterfall, then Xiamei ancient village — a Ming–Qing 'historic village of China'. Bookable end-to-end by our team.
Charter into the reserve. Hire a seven-seat air-con Changhe van from the resort (about ¥200 for the waterfall route, ¥300 for the full mountain-top day). Drive up to the Tongtian River gorge in the Wuyishan natural reserve — forest nearly pristine, steep terrain. The Qinglong Grand Waterfall (¥50, 08:00–18:00) is the centrepiece, reached past step-bridges and rock pools.
Lunch in the reserve. The reserve has food only near the Tongmu village area — bring snacks, or eat at the reserve restaurant and agree the price first. Mountain ham, river fish and bamboo shoots are the local dishes.
Xiamei ancient village. On the way back, stop at Xiamei village (¥50, 08:00–17:00, Hou Lane 1) — a 'historic and cultural village of China' since 2005, with hills guarding the village and water feeding it: cobbled lanes, Ming–Qing houses and a quiet, tidy layout. Return to the resort by evening.
Hotels, bamboo-raft tickets, rock-tea tastings, the Impression Dahongpao show and guides arranged by our team — free of charge, no obligation.
Reserve entry is by chartered car only: ¥200 for the museum / eco-rafting / Qinglong route, ¥300 for the full mountain-top day. Seven-seat air-con Changhe vans wait at the resort. Our team arranges the van free.
Qinglong Waterfall ¥50; Xiamei village ¥50; charter ¥200–300 (shared 4–6 people); lunch ~¥50. Budget about ¥150–250 per person for the day.
Return to the Sangu resort for the night — Yuehua (¥818+), Wuyi Villa (¥338+), Home Inn (¥152+) or a tea inn (¥129+). Browse Fujian hotels.
