The OCT belt in one long day: the miniature world of Window of the World, the coasters of Happy Valley, and — if you have half a day spare — the tiny nation of Splendid China between them. All on metro line 1; bookable end-to-end by our team.
Window of the World. Metro line 1/2 to Window of the World station (exits H/I/J). The park (RMB 160, 09:30-22:30) packs the Eiffel Tower, the Taj Mahal, Niagara Falls and the Grand Canyon into 480,000 m2; lunch on the international street. Stay for the evening light and the carnival parade.
Happy Valley. Walk over to Happy Valley (RMB 180, 09:00-22:00; night entry RMB 60 after 18:30) — the world highest-drop river rapids, China first suspended roller coaster and the 4-D cinema, with band and street shows through the afternoon.
Dongmen or Huaqiangbei. Metro one stop west to Huaqiangbei for the electronics street and a cheap local dinner, or east to Laojie (Old Street) station for Dongmen pedestrian street — Lingnan arcade houses and street snacks to end the day.
Hotels, theme-park tickets, beach shuttles and guides arranged by our team — free of charge, no obligation.
Window of the World RMB 160 (night RMB 80), Happy Valley RMB 180 (night RMB 60), Splendid China RMB 150, metro RMB 2-8. Two-park combo day about RMB 350-450 per person.
The City Inn west of Happy Valley from RMB 315, or the OCT Traveller hostel dorm from RMB 75 — both walking distance of the gates. Browse Guangdong hotels.
Leave the park food behind: Wah Heung Goose on Huafa North Road, Chaoshan beef balls, and herbal tea to recover from the coasters.
