The 'first mountain of Lingnan' — the Daoist peaks of Luofu Mountain, 432 summits and 980 waterfalls, with a cable car over the ridgeline and the cloud-sea view from 1,296 m. Bookable end-to-end by our team.
Up the mountain. The Huizhou–Luofu bus runs every 15 minutes (about 2 hours, under ¥20) to the Jumingdong base of Luofu Mountain (¥60 peak season, ¥48 off, 08:00–18:00). Ride the cable car over the forested ridgeline, then visit the herb gardens and Daoist temples tied to the Jin physician Ge Hong, who gathered and wrote about medicine on these slopes.
Feiyun Ding. Walk the final stretch to the 1,296 m summit, the highest of Guangdong's four great peaks. On a clear day the whole Pearl River Delta spreads below the clouds — the viewpoint the guide's highlight list puts at number one. Lunch at a mountain teahouse on Luofu sweet tea and simple Hakka dishes.
Down and home. Descend by cable car, browse the Luofu hundred-herb oil and sweet-tea stalls at the base, then the bus back to Huizhou. With time to spare, add the nearby Hallstatt-style town on the way back through Boluo.
Resorts, mountain tickets, hot springs, train seats and guides arranged by our team — free of charge, no obligation.
