Up into the Longsheng mountains to the Longji Rice Terraces — a tiered rice landscape carved by Zhuang and Yao farmers over centuries. Early start, the Ping'an viewpoints, bamboo-tube rice lunch, and the option of the Longsheng hot springs. Bookable end-to-end by our team.
Out to Longsheng. Take the Longji shuttle from Qintan Coach Station (31 Cuizhu Road, Guilin · +86 773 3832 703). Entry from ¥80 (ticket + shuttle combos ¥124–130). Arrive at the Ping'an village gate and walk the terraces — the viewpoints above the village are the classic mirror-and-mountain shots.
Bamboo-tube rice. Lunch at a terrace farmhouse: rice steamed inside fresh bamboo, Longsheng water liquor and mountain ham — smoky, golden and entirely local. Budget about ¥50.
Hot springs or the return. If time allows, 40 minutes from the county town to the Longsheng Hot Springs (45–58 C mineral pools in the forest), otherwise the evening shuttle back to Guilin. Prefer to linger? Terrace guesthouses run from about ¥100 a room, and the sunrise over the mirrors is worth staying for.
