Dalian Classic 2-Day Tour
The city's greatest hits in two relaxed days — enough to feel Dalian's unique charm. Covers the two most famous Dalian experiences: the coastal Binhai Road and Tiger Beach marine park on day one, and the Golden Pebble resort and Discoveryland rides on day two.
Day-by-Day Plan
Binhai Road & Tiger Beach Ocean Park. Start at Haizhiyun Park and walk the scenic Binhai Road toward Tiger Beach. Enter Tiger Beach Ocean Park (¥210 combined pass, 6:00–22:00, +86 411 8239 9398): morning at the Polar Pavilion for the marine animal shows, lunch inside the park, then the Coral Hall and the Bird Forest. Optional: the water-skiing performance arena. Return to the city in the evening and feast on seafood (see Dalian food guide).
Golden Pebble Beach & Discoveryland. Take the light rail from Dalian station to Jinshitan (52 min, ¥8) in the morning and spend the day inside Discoveryland theme park (day ¥160, 9:30–18:00; lunch inside). With energy left, walk the Golden Pebble Beach at sunset before riding the light rail back to the city.
Practical tips for this itinerary
Book hotels before July–August peak season (see Dalian hotels). Bring sandals for the pebbly beaches, a windproof jacket for the seafront, and your student ID for ticket discounts. A City Loop bus day-ticket (¥10) helps if you want to add sights.
