Yuntai Mountain · Day Trip
The "Northern Three Gorges" — a full day of lake cruises, springs and carved cliffs 90 minutes from the park.
Catch the park shuttle or a coach to the Qingtian River scenic area at the north-west of Jiaozuo — about 90 minutes, roads climbing into the Taihang valleys.
Board a boat at the dam for the classic cruise past the Three-Stacked Dam, the Sangu Spring ("the first spring of Central China", 7 m³ a second) and the natural cliffs that line the water.
Try the river fish and mountain greens at one of the small restaurants along the shore — budget about ¥40–50 per person.
Walk the short trail to the 1,500-year-old Northern Wei carvings and the "natural Buddha" cliff — the area's oldest cultural sight.
The coach back reaches the park gate by early evening, in time for dinner at the Anshang service area.
