Out from Beihai to Weizhou Island — China's largest and youngest volcanic island, 36 nautical miles offshore. The morning ferry, a bicycle around the lava coastline and coral beach, then the boat back. Bookable end-to-end by our team.
Ferry over. Sail from Beihai's international passenger terminal (Silver Beach 3rd Road · +86 779 388 0711, ~70 min). Island entry from ¥98 (children/seniors ¥49). Rent a bicycle at the dock and ride first to the volcanic-crater geopark under 'Crocodile Hill' — the red lava cliffs and sea platforms are the island's signature.
Beach, church & lunch. Cycle to Shiluokou beach for the clearest coral viewing, then the 19th-century Catholic church built entirely from coral rock, its 1889 bell still ringing. Lunch on island seafood and Weizhou bananas at a family restaurant.
Wucai & return. Stop at Wucai Beach (Sesame Beach) for the striped tidal flats and the Dripping Danping cliff, then pedal back to the dock for the afternoon ferry to Beihai. Stay the night if you want the famous island sunrise; summer crossings fill up fast, so book ahead.
