Detian Waterfall Day Trip
Out of Nanning to the Detian Waterfall — Asia's largest transnational waterfall, where the Guichun River tumbles over the cliff between China and Vietnam. Early start, bamboo raft at the foot, the Mingshi landscape on the way back. Bookable end-to-end by our team.
Day Plan
Out to Daxin. Take the Detian-bound coach from Nanning Langdong station, or the Jiangnan station service to Chongzuo (¥40) and Daxin. Scenic-area entry plus shuttle from ¥115 (children/students ¥75), open 08:00–22:00. Arrive by late morning for the best light on the falls.
The waterfall. Walk the boardwalks along the Guichun River to the viewing platforms, then take a bamboo raft to the foot of the 70 m curtain — you can see the Vietnamese bank across the water. Allow 3–5 hours on site; bring a light rain jacket for the spray.
Mingshi & return. On the way back, stop at the Mingshi pastoral landscape — the 'little Guilin' of calm river, karst peaks and rice fields. Late afternoon coach back to Nanning. With an extra night, continue to the Friendship Gate at Pingxiang on the Vietnam border.
