Why Sang tea from Nanchong?
Sang tea is one of the nationally recognized “One Village One Product” specialties of Sanlongchang Village, Jialing District, Jialing District, Nanchong, Sichuan province, China. The program, run by China’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, certifies villages whose signature agricultural or handicraft product has become a local economic pillar and a point of regional pride. The local tea is prized for its terroir: the mountains, soil and climate of the region shape a distinctive aroma and flavor that tea lovers seek out across China. Many villages in the program combine tea gardens with agritourism, letting visitors pick leaves, watch traditional processing and taste the fresh brew on site.
