Wine is one of the nationally recognized “One Village One Product” specialties of Yangliu Village, Hongsibao District, Hongsibao District, Wuzhong, Ningxia province, China. The program, run by China’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, certifies villages whose signature agricultural or handicraft product has become a local economic pillar and a point of regional pride. Local producers follow time-honored brewing methods passed down through generations, giving the product a flavor profile unique to the region. The certified village is located in Hongsibao District, Wuzhong — usually within an hour or two of the city center.
