Youji white tea is one of the nationally recognized “One Village One Product” specialties of Jiaoshan Village, Tonggu County, Tonggu County, Yichun, Jiangxi province, China. The program, run by China’s Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, certifies villages whose signature agricultural or handicraft product has become a local economic pillar and a point of regional pride. The local tea is prized for its terroir: the mountains, soil and climate of the region shape a distinctive aroma and flavor that tea lovers seek out across China.
